For the longest time I ignored my body. I only used it to get from A to B. And when I did pay attention to it, I treated it like crap.
I stuffed it with Big Macs, and laid it down on the sofa while munching my way through a bag of cheese puffs.
You've only got one body
It wasn't until I had 4 kids and was in my late thirties that I started to take notice of this thing that was my body. I realized that I only had the one. And that if I wanted to be able to use it for a long time, I should probably make sure it was healthy and in good condition.
That's when I started to take my body for a run every day, for at least 30 minutes. And it became important to me to have my body put in at least 10.000 steps every day.
My and body and me are one
Though I still feel my body should shut up and put up, and just take me where I want to go, I get that me and my body are one.
And that I had better take good care of it. Though most day I still treat it like in the picture....
Maybe someday, we'll actually become good friends.
How do you treat yóur body?

I've read that building muscle is important too. That's why I finally gave in and started doing crosstraining. It really is a learning process, isn't it.

I treat my body a lot better now than I did before. I've have learnt a lot about health and fitness in the last few years, and I'm the fittest I've ever been (I'm building muscle now, so I might be fitter later this year).
