The time that I have to go out and buy myself a new pair of running shoes.
'Pretty' doesn't enter into the equation
Don't get me wrong. I lóve shopping for shoes. Just not for rúnning shoes. Because it's not about the pretty colours. It's all about getting the right and sensible shoe. And 'pretty' and 'right/sensible' usually don't meet when it comes to running shoes.
But I had to face it. The holes in the heels of my Saucony running shoes were so big, they were causing big blisters every time I wore them. Even when I put on really thick socks.
Let's try another brand: Asics
So off to the running shoes store I went. I always buy Saucony's but this time I asked the shoe guy for another brand. Because of the holes-in-the-heels problem I have always have with my Saucony running shoes.
He sold me a pair of Asics running shoes. Asics Dynamic Duomax to be precise. They feel good.
Let's hope they don't get holes in the heels!

I tend to go through 2 or 3 pairs of running shoes a year. I love Asics Kayanos, Altra torins and Brooks shoes. I also have some Mizunos I really like right now. I skip around a lot. Enjoy your new shoes!
I go about 350 miles before getting a new pair. I love my asics!!

That's i nteresting Christy! Do you run lots of miles? And doesn't running get expensive if you have to buy 3 pairs of shoes per year?
I buy a pair of running shoes about every 9 months. I currently own (now, as I just bought another pair) 4 shoes, but they all get rotated. My Sacouny's are my racing shoe, but will get replaced around june.
I've never bought a pair of running shoes - but I go through walking shoes pretty regularly, and it always feels so hit or miss. By the time you know they're not quite working for you, it's too late!
