But this morning the school run unexpectedly turned into a mud run. Because of the heavy rains a part of the dirth path the kids and I take to school had changed into a very big puddle with visions of grandeur and aspirations to be a lake.
I don't wanna get myself all wet...
Because I didn't want to wade through the water and get myself all wet, I had to walk along the sides of the puddle. But the sides of the puddle were so muddy they looked like melted chocolate. My feet disappeared up to my ankle into the mud.
But I'm happy to report I survived.
I even got a freebie for my efforts: nice little ankle mud socks.

First thing I thought when I saw your picture>> Ganache toes. I hope you were able to get your shoes back in order.

I'm hoping I can use them again. I'm still drying them out right now!

Ugh! Were you able to salvage your shoes after that?
