Here are 5 things about me as a runner.
- Do you know those people who say: 'Don't mind the mess!' and then you walk in, and it's clean as a whistle? They're the same kind of people who say: 'Oh don't mind me. I'm such a slow runner, I'll néver be able to keep up!' And then you eat their dust? That person is nót me. When I say I'm not very fast, I'm not kidding. It takes me 45 minutes to run 5K. And that's after 21 years of running.
- I like making money by running. I have this app which earns me 15 euros per month for running!
- I get a kick out of watching myself on my crosstrainer...
- And while I'm watching myself on my elliptical trainer, I like to listen to 'Sexy Thing'...
- I never participate in running events, because I hate crowds. But sometimes it seems like I'm the only runner who runs 'just because'.
What kind of runner are you?

Great song choice! I wish I felt that way while working out, but I usually just feel like a hot, sweaty mess.
I love that song!!
Your phone comment made me laugh. While I don't dislike answering the phone, I HATE calling to order food. I have no idea why. It's completely illogical. I realize this. But I still won't do it. I'll order online or my sidekick will call.
It may very well be a case of wishful thinking on my part!!!
i don't love using the phone either. it's funny to think that i used to spend SO much time on the phone when i was younger and now i don't love it.
Love the song choice!! I hate the phone too! I am too busy and the chance of you calling me while Im yelling at my kids is too great for me to pick up the phone!
I seriously just finished chuckling, I love that you answered the phone like that, LOL
It's pretty cool you run "just because" and times don't really matter, if you love it and you enjoy doing it then any pace is great!
Haha I do not like answering the phone either! I remember spending hours on it as a teenager. Luckily my parents have learned to text :)
I love that you run just because! Just because I'm a race addict doesn't mean we all need to be - we all have our own reasons!
For a long time I ran just to run because I didn't want to sign up for races by myself. I wish I could run more just because, but I find it so motivating having a race to work towards!
I love the bit about answering the phone :) I get nervous with the phone for some reason too. I have to admit I love the energy and crowds of races and events. Training for them definitely motivates me to get my weekly runs in!
Loved this! You are hilarious and we would totally be besties. And I'm not just saying that! Thanks for linking up to Sunday FUNday!
I must say you do have a great sense of humor. Sorry it took me so long to make it hee, I dont run thats for sure. Wish I could. Thanks for stopping by last week!
Fun song choice! I bet you are a fun runner friend. Thanks for joining our link up today and hope you will check out some of the other blogs too
I know lots of runners who run just to run. I don't race really often.
Trust me, I am also pretty slow. I wish you lived closer to me!
And when I say my home is messy, I am not in the least bit kidding. It's gotten worse since the Pandemic (because almost no one came in). I don't like it being messy, but I also have so many other things I want to do!
Plus since my husband retired it's even messier and hard to clean around him.
I am very much a slow runner. I love races, but I also love running just to run.
My house is not spotless. I have two pugs so it's a little chaotic, but I don't care. Life happens.
Nothing wrong with running "just because." I love doing races, but am not one who gets a thrill out of passing other people. I mean, it's a nice accomplishment, but I don't make every race a contest between myself and whoever is ahead of me, LOL
I am a walker but thanks for sharing those facts.
So fun; I don't run but I do love to hike.
