Usually runners who participate in a marathon go through months of preparing and training. And blogging about their training.
Not Dutch Dennis Hübner!
For a year he ran 5 miles per week to get himself ready for a 10K.
But somehow, somewhere he took a wrong turn, and found himself surrounded by runners who were participating in the Rotterdam Marathon. Embarassed about his mistake Dennis decided there was only one thing he could do to save face: finish the damn thing.
And then he did. In a respectable 5 hours.
'Stopping wasn't an option,' Dennis said afterwards.
Which just goes to show how important your mental state is during a marathon!
Oops, I ran a marathon
