When I've got my period, I always feel like my pelvic muscles turn into mush. I used to welcome this as an excuse to skip my runs, but the years went by, and somehow I turned into a runner. I hate skipping runs now. Who would have thunk it? Not me, I can tell you!
Anyway, when I got my period on Monday, I knew I would be feeling it the most on Tuesday, so I told myself: 'Be wise, and skip your Tuesday run. That way your pelvic muscles get a break, and your uterus won't fall out.' Having scared the hell out of myself, I did not go running.
And it was sooo hard! As hard as it sometimes is to get myself out the door, it's even harder to stay in! All day Tuesday I felt like something was missing, and several times I had to physically restrain myself to prevent me running out the door.
But now it's Thursday, and I've got my running shoes on. The world is right again.
How do you feel about skipping a run?
Skipping a run is not for the faint hearted!

For me it's always the three days prior that are the worst! Glad you're in the clear now :)
Oddly enough, I feel that way about house cleaning...If I can't do my house cleaning, I just can't function normally...my obsession is due to menopause though! LOL
That is all too true. The real runner in you will stick it out :) I have a 5k tomorrow. I am always bad about wanting to run fast like everyone else and not keeping to my pace. Thats my problem.
