.... for the wannabe charming runner.
As a runner I wear clothes I wouldn't be caught dead in as a mom. Nor alive, for that matter.
What's with those skintight leggings showing off how much you're packin' on your thighs? And should people nót see your saddle bags, the cheery stripes will point them in the thigh direction.
I'm not an unreasonable person. You don't hear me complaining about the ugliness that is a running shoe do you? I'm quite happy to sacrifice charm for support. But I don't see why running clothes should be so, well, uncharming.
Summer is a much friendlier season, calling out for little running skirts and tops. It's Winter that's cruel in it's running apparel.
I know: 'It's not about what's on the outside, it's about what's on the inside'.
But why should the outside be wórse than the inside?!
Winter is the cruellest season....

I know. I have a pair of tights that are actually kind (ie don't show the cottage cheese) and they're close to 10 years old. I will dry the day they wear out.
Moving Comfort has some good stuff -- not to lycra-y.

Hey, thanks for visiting my blog. When winter hits here in MN it hits hard so I usually have to take it inside. No running tights on the treadmill.
I totally agree about UGLY running clothes! So the ONE time I try to go "cute," I go to Lulumone and buy a CUTE tank and some sweet little shorts...and all of my running girls said I looked like I should be out playing tennis. You just can't win! Have you checked out the running dresses yet?
Nice visiting your blog!
I agree tights are awful. Last year was the 1st year that I just said "screw it" and didn't wear shorts over mine. It was very freeing, lol!
I WISH I looked good in tights...maybe I should run in a tent. I'm glad I stumbled upon your blog - I'm expecting my first baby next month, reading about your balance is very inspiring.
