Today I ran fourteen kilometers again. Last time I ran this distance for the first time, and was plagued by insecurities and doubts. But I made it, and found out that I indeed have nothing to fear but fear itself!
So today I went this distance again, knowing I could do it. And when I conquered mile after mile I couldn't help but feel really proud. Look at me! The girl who couldn't even run around the park during highschool without collapsing in a sweaty, teary heap of misery. Look at me running fourteen kilometers!
I just love running. It's such a surefire way to feel good about yourself.
I run, therefore I rock!

Definitely something to be very very proud of! I wish I could still run...arthritis has knocked me to the ground. :o(
Now that's a long run!
WTG!
Good for you; you are so right - running really does build confidence and makes you feel like you have accomplished something great. And you have! 14 km is a long way to go...
Congrats! This is something to be really proud of. ;)
Have a great week.
Way to go Running Mommy! 14 km is really something. Congrats.
I so often wish I could run. I imagine it would be great to get lost in that endorphin rush.
Four precipitous deliveries, though, and I can't run anywhere that doesn't have portapotties every 1/4 mile.
Wow that is a good run I am working up to run a 5k, and for me that isn't easy. Good for you :)
Awesome!!!! Congrats on a new distance!
GOOD FOR YOU!!! What an accomplishment.
Good job!!! I need to get my endurance up so bad!
Good for you....you are right, it is a great feeling, especially when we think back to the 'first' runs and how difficult they were!
I find that this accomplished feeling carries over to all aspects of my life too!
Keep going...soon you'll be reporting even longer distances!
