Yet that's just what runners do! Because it's all about the journey, the experience. Sure you could go from A to B in a straight line, but where's the fun in that?!
So today I ran to the city centre which is about 2 kilometers, only I took a long cut and ran 10 kilometers to get there. And since I always get lost there's never a dull moment, 'cause I'll be all worried and scared, thinking I may never get home again. Luckily a friendly gentleman on a bike gave me directions and helped me find my way again. Which is another gift of running: you get to meet all kind of nice people.
And as the miles went by I couldn't help but think: 'This is a good day!' Because how can a day be bad when you're out there, and your body feels alive and tingling and the birds are singing?

Wow, that route was quite a journey. I envy your resistance and determination. I haven't tried running yet, I'm not sure I will have the endurance for it, LOL. Walking is the only thing I can do, but that would be a good route to take like you did sometime. Btw, I replied to your comment in my "walk in the Snow" @ Scrappy Mommy
. Thanks and have a great week.
Good for you! I used to run, but thanks to raging arthritis, I can no longer do much of anything, except complain and whine. :o)

Have a GREAT day!
Just stopping by to say hello.
I'm looking forward to the streets clearing up soon so that I can get off of the treadmill and on to a real journey!
GReat journey! It makes me want to run a bit more outside - blasted snow and crippling cold temps. I am definately pepped.
That route must have been quite a journey! I truly admire your spirit.
That looks like a great route. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and I'll be back to visit yours regularily.
Hope your having a great weekend. I left you an award at my blog!
Good for you! I love running the long run. I agree, experience all you can and gather the scenery. It is not always about getting to the destination but the road along the way!
I'm impressed! I am so lazy that it takes a lot of gumption to even get on the treadmill! Admittedly, I enjoy outdoor walks far more than indoor ones, but those are reserved for nicer weather than February in the Northern Plains of the U.S.
Happy Valentine's Day, Nicole!!
