The Christmas Run!

'Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, la la la la. 

But for many moms it's also the season to run themselves ragged. 

This inspired me to write my very own Christmas song, based on 'Rocking around the Christmas tree'! 

Are you ready? 

Here it comes! 

Running around the Christmas tree 

Running around the Christmas tree, 

going on a shopping spree. 

Trying to find my front door key, and the kids all have to pee. 

Running around the Christmas tree,

I've got red blotches all over me, 

my nerves are shot and I'm always hot, 

running around the Christmas tree. 

Running around the Christmas tree, 

trying so hard to be peaceful and merry. 

But I'm running around so hard, 

I'm not sure I look the part. 

Running around the Christmas tree, 

relishing this precious time with the family, 

I should be joyful and triumphant, 

but I feel like I've been run over by an elephant. 

Running around the Christmas tree, 

almost crying thinkin: 

'What about me, me, me, me, me?!' 

I'm longing for my own run, the one that's just for fun.
